Jackfruit BBQ Sammiches
- 1 can of young green jackfruit in water (NOT in syrup or brine)
- mix brown sugar (or other sweetner), paprika, garlic powder, chili powder, dash of salt and pepper
- BBQ sauce for topping if needed
After you have taken the Jackfruit from the can rinse and allow to dry. Removal of seeds is totally optional ( I removed mine)
Once you have allowed the Jackfruit to dry separate it. Heat skillet with EVOO then add Jackfruit until it is shredded. Add these ingredients:
2. Chili Powder
3. Garlic Powder
5. Brown Sugar or other sweetener
6. Dash of salt and pepper
Once ingredients are mixed continue to mix until desired taste.
Garnish with your favorite toppings, Pop it on a whole wheat bun and enjoy!
